So what is hyperfiction?

Fiction that uses links as part of the narrative. Let's keep it simple. Fiction using a new technology for writing and for disseminating writings. The reader reading a computer screen rather than paper. An amalgamation of all the cultural media of the last century creating a new type of medium in which writing is just one strand. A young and still crude technology.

Hyperfiction, the stillborn child of academia, has leaped reborn from the relative obscurity of CD ROM and in-house control to the anarchy, bad taste and insane economics of the World Wide Web, much to the anxiety of those that wish to make any sense of it.

To me this is wonderful, I've been waiting ten years for this. I have things to say. The only limits I personally see is that what I want to say will bend the form, not the other way. If this is "real" hyperfiction or not is not my problem.
