Message:
I wish this poem was a Rob Zombie
Film.
A poem is not a bloody splatter movie
Brimming with screams of torture.
I want this poem to ascend
Like the Ghost of Christ.
No, there are centuries of Saints
Damning the stray soul to coal.
Poetry is not graphic lithography
Art.
Poetry is not theoretical
Ballet with a potato in orbit.
A poem is fantasy
Hollowed out, empty black egg.
Two empty black eggs
Held in blood on Jesus’ wrists.
Divine Miracle
Is not stop-action.
Empty black, bloody eggs
Are anvil-tailed balloons from the stratosphere
Where Jesus burns thru like a nose-cone
Rocket.
Let’s say the black eggs
Moss over & germinate
Into
Poets who crack in obscurity.
