quite a ride back
home from my mom's
up 79. seek stereo:

interesting celtic
for a while
then old dylan "do

you take me for such
a fool..."
& i'm calling truckers

cocksuckers
our windshield wipers
slap fast but there's

too much spray
as they pass
or we pass

& no other music
worth noting
plays

goddamn cocksuckers
in huge mobile homes
pulling an acura locked to a   trailer

assholes who
don't turn
on their lights, dingfuckingbats

the intensity of
the rain, in retrospect,
nearly to the point

to think
pull over & wait
it was a

dramatic
drive in a
low red taurus

like curled
inside a blood-filled tuba
somebody's playing:

An hour & a half
Then entering home
Victory, the happy cats & dog
