 Subject: pollen attack

Pollen dust clouds
in the air
like green spores
it actually coats
my brothers glass
table on the back deck
I draw a circle in
pollen dirt
my throat
like I’ve swallowed
a handful of glass shards
eye’s are dry onion scales
I leave early from work
driving my sister’s
blazer, which is like
A tank every angle obscured
from view and overly tinted windows
blind spots galore
I take a back road and drive slow
with this allergy fucked sinus head
in this death machine I could
plow through a few children
killing them instantly
so I’m careful and cautious
driving like an old man
at home I sleep
with a nervous edge to
my consciousness
that keeps starting me awake
with a scare but then quickly
back into a dream
about my boss angry
that I don’t have paper work done
and that Obama is also angry
that’s right Barrack Obama is angry
with me but she adds that
he is also hopeful concerning me as well
I tell her I don’t care
what he thinks
I wake with pounding
headache like metal brick
somehow inserted into
my left eye brain socket
that seems to pulse pain
rather than maintain steady pain
so for one moment you have no headache
then it surges like your brain will implode
later I try to masturbate for the first time
in weeks but my headache
will not allow full erection
and all fantasies end up getting phased
out by white headache sinus light
that explodes in orange clouds
in the nerves under my eyelids
later Tylenol allergy medicine
stills the waters
and I drink tea calmly
thinking about
things that frustrate and scare me
keeping me from sleep
until I’m able to find the one knot
that lets it all loose
and I’m soothed
by a mediocre intricate miracle
that is reality.
